fr danny huang, sj opening the exhibit by cutting the vine
as the jesuit brothers cheer and wait to enter.
fr rene javellana, sj twined the vine with wires and white flowers.

fr art borja, sj serenading the jesuit community
with the song "Santa Lucia"

Santa Lucia

Sul mare luccica
L'astro argento,
Placida è l'onda,
Prospero è il vento,
Venite all'agile
Barchetta mia.
Santa Lucia
Santa Lucia.

Con questo zeffiro

Così soave,
Oh, com'è bello
Star su la nave.
Su passaggieri,
Venite via.
Santa Lucia
Santa Lucia.

O dolce Napoli

O suol beato,
Ove sorridere
Volle il creato,
Tu sei l'impero
Del armonia.
Santa Lucia,
Santa Lucia.

Or che tardate?
Bella è la sera,
Spira un auretta
Fresca e leggera.
Venite all'agile
Barchetta mia.
Santa Lucia
Santa Lucia.

schol. weng bava reading his poetry
"Hiram na Kamera"

Hiram na Karema

huhulihin ko sa aking kamera
ang kariktan ng papanaw na araw,
o ang hamog sa mga dahong
nanginginig sa halumigmig ng umaga

o ng mga sanga ng punong balete
at ng mga pabong naglilimayon
sa katanghaliang tapat

sa isang kuwadrong larawan
ay ikukulong ko ang iyong masasaya’t
magagandang ala-ala

sisikapin kong masulyapan
ang nakahihindik mong kagandahan
kahit na itong aking kamera
ay isang hiram lamang

salamat jason for commenting on my post. may second web log ako, dedicated to my works. my second blog is cybercloister.blogspot.com. The first blog letrasyfiguras will be dedicated to the exhibit i am curating for the ateneo art gallery—flora: beauty, desire and death to open October 10. The exhibit is in honor of Bro. Georg Kamel, a botanist whose illustrations will appear at regular intervals in letrasyfiguras. I have 65 illustrations (with comments) to post, all in all
